4-H member be responsible in feeding, watering, worming, and taking care of the animal for several months prior to their showing at the fair.

- Proper Protein levels in feeds to feed
- Right supplements to provide the animals
- Proper shelter to provide during the hot/cold seasons
- Importance of plenty of clean water
